Dodging Bullets For Victory At Ascot
Seven-year-old Dodging Bullets finally got himself back to winning ways after staying on strongly to take the Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown last month.
Despite a dependable 2013, he had a dip in form last season. However, trainer Paul Nicholls will be hoping that his recent gutsy performance to see off Sombersbywill give him the welcome boost to push on and take a second successive Grade 1.
Rider Noel Fehily is in form with victories as Sandown and Kempton for Nicholls in the last month. At 5/2 he’s a worthy favourite.
In the hand of Noel Fehilyfor the race tomorrow, a jockey who has lead Paul Nicholls runners to victory at Sandown and Kempton over the past month he is a great price at 5/2 to pass the post first.
Harry Fry Provides a Puzzle for Punters At Ascot.
Trainer Harry Fry doesn’t have as big a stable as Paul Nicholls and Nicky Henderson. However, what he does have are horses with the class of Rock on Ruby and at his disposal at Ascot this weekend he has seven-year-old mare Bitofapuzzle.
With a career start of four wins and one narrow loss, it’s plain to see why Fry holds her in such high regard. After a victory to start 2014 at Huntingdon she had a long break until running again at Cheltenham where she saw off Montana Belleby three lengths.
Priced at 6/1 to pass the post first in the OLBG.com Mares’ Hurdle she could provide Harry Fry with a huge boost as we head towards Cheltenham.

Ascot 15:35 Bobcatbilly
Nine-year-old Bobcatbillyhanded trainer Ian Williams a welcome win on his last outing a Wetherby on Boxing Day.
Seeming to make the race easy, he led well before jumping clear two furlongs out and took the victory by an impressive nine lengths to nearest challenger Alderbrook Lad. He also won earlier this year in the hands of AP McCoy at Haydock by a monumental thirteen lengths.
His last outing saw him win over distance of three miles, three furlongs further than the tomorrow’s bet365 Handicap Chase and with that in mind he is a good chance to take the victory at 6/1.
