In the Grimthorpe Chase at Doncaster, Ikorodu Road is 7lb lower than when gamely winning this race last year from David Pipe’s Junior and is capable of repeating the feat. Matt Shepherd’s stable star is a sound jumper, who rarely runs a bad race and will relish the drying ground. Phillip Hobbs’ Duke Of Lucca was a solid third in last weekend’s Racing Plus Chase and rates a big danger off a competitive mark. The Grade 2 Premier Kelso Hurdle at 3.40 is the most valuable contest on the Scottish track’s card on Saturday and Eduard can scoop the £30,000 pot. The Nicky Richards camp have always thought a lot of the 40,000 Euros Goffs purchase. A son of triple Group winner Morozov who produced last week’s Racing Plus Chase victor – Opening Batsman, Eduard is also capable of scaling the heights. An easy bumper winner at Kelso last March, he followed up by powering home in novice hurdles at Newcastle and Carlisle. His top performance however came in defeat to Melodic Rendezvous who is a strong contender for festival glory in March. Eduard can land this prestigious Kelso prize en-route to raiding Aintree.]]>
