( votes)Federer has played a great tournament so far and faces one of his last opportunities to capture a Grand Slam. Yesterday his serve faced a great returner and the swiss passed the test conceding a single breakball in the whole match. Despite Murray did not play a bad match, Federer was the best of the pair during the most part of the clash. This is the rematch of the Wimbledon 2014 final where Federer, despite being inferior, was able to push the Djokovic to the fifth set. The swiss has proved he is in a better form than a year ago and specially that he has a clear game plan which includes charging the net when possible. Djokovic has shown more ups and downs along the tournament including a serious scare against Anderson. The serb is used to save energy for the final rounds and that should be taken into account when we evaluate his performance. Thus we cannot assure that Djokovic´s form is worst than a year ago but the defeat in Roland Garros (against Wawrinka) has probably harmed his confidence. In this situation, odds near to evens would be more fair so backing the swiss at around 2, 20 is a good value bet.” Get it HERE]]>
