• There are three main festival meetings, the first of which takes place in May over three days, the second meeting is in July and the third is in August where both meetings happen over a four day period. The vast majority of their race meetings during the course of the year occur in the evening.

They accommodate just the one pattern race per calendar year, a listed race over an extended mile (8.5 furlongs) that is open to three year olds and older and takes place in the month of August. This race is known as the Ruby Stakes which used to be raced at Tralee racecourse but moved to this venue in 2009.

There are no races that are run from five to seven furlongs, the shortest distance race on the flat is over an extended mile (8.5 furlongs). From my recently reviewed research, I can see no clear distinct advantage in relation to draw positions over any distance or when the ground is riding quick or slow.

Additional notes; All the yards winners were either aged three or four and would have had at least raced once beforehand, ie; they were not making their racecourse debut. I would take this factor into account if you wish to increase the win strike rate and overall profitability in relation to the above record.

To produce an even better return, then also focus on all races beyond a mile, there were seven losing bets from seven entries at a mile, so the starting point would be from 8.5 furlongs and beyond.
