Back in 1992 when the Premier League was born, few could have envisaged the success story we have seen over the years. The Football League which was born back in 1888, gave way to the Premier League when in May 1992 the former First Division clubs resigned from the Football League, ending 104 years of 4 divisions (first, second, third and fourth) leaving the elite Premier and the lower three. The initial 22 members of the Premier League were: Arsenal, Aston Villa, Blackburn Rovers, Chelsea, Coventry City, Crystal Palace, Everton, Ipswich Town, Leeds United, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Middlesbrough, Norwich City, Nottingham Forest, Oldham Athletic, Queens Park Rangers, Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday, Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur, and Wimbledon. A top football tipster knows that of these only seven have taken part in every season since its beginning and these are: Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur. The next change to the Premier League format came about in 1995 when FIFA forced them to reduce the number to 20 teams in order to decrease the amount of games clubs were forced to play. Once again in 2006 FIFA requested another reduction in the size of the League, insisting that 18 teams was the perfect number, but to-date, the Premier League has refused to modify their number and the League still has twenty teams. A football betting expert has underlined the fact that no English manager has ever managed to win the Premier League, even if a Frenchman (Wenger three with Arsenal), a Portuguese (Mourinho three with Chelsea, counting this campaign) , an Italian (Ancelotti once with Chelsea) and two Scots, Alex Ferguson (11 times with Manchester United) and Kenny Dalglish (once with Blackburn Rovers all have). The player with the highest amount of appearances is David James, who over took the previous record holder, Gary Speed who had 535 appearances and the first ever Pemier League goal was scored by Brian Deane of Sheffield United in a match his side won 2-1 against Manchester United. Another landmark was the first 1000 goal scoring team, which was Manchester United who achieved this record in the 2005/06 season, with a goal from Cristiano Ronaldo but have since been joined by the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. A football betting pick of a match would have been the 7-4 win by Portsmouth over Reading, which funnily enough is the highest scoring match so far, and another top pick would be five goals scored in a single match record, achieved to-date by Andy Cole who did this first, Alan Shearer and Jermain Defoe. A great Premier League prediction could be who will the next one be? Sergio Aguero, Mario Balotelli, Harry Kane?
