Swansea v Aston Villa – 13.30 This game will be a clash between two footballing styles, Swansea will be out to play their normal, attractive football, keeping possession of the ball as much as possible and trying to work openings whilst Aston Villa will be working hard to close down space, hit Swansea on the break and take advantage of the greater goal threat their players provide. Let’s be honest, this game will probably not be a classic. Stilian Petrov is a doubt for Aston Villa leading up to this match and if you’re thinking of putting any money on Villa to win this game, it might be wise to wait and see whether he will play as he has been very important to the Villains this season. With Swanseas excellent home form this season and Villa being a well-drilled team that are tough to break down, I can only see this match ending in a draw. Liverpool v Manchester City – 16.00 Liverpool are coming into this match off the back of a win against Chelsea, Man City are hurting after a defeat away to Napoli in the Champions League, motivation and form will certainly play a part in this fixture but will even an exceedingly motivated Liverpool side have enough to beat Manchester City? I’m going to put my neck on the line and say that I think it will. Man City are on a great run right now but we all know that a run has to end somewhere, Liverpool will be out to ensure they do not lose to another of their top 4 rivals having already lost to Tottenham this season. A full Anfield will give them full backing and they will be out to prove they can live with the best teams in the land right now. No bets on it, purely my pride at stake but I think Liverpool will pull off a result that means that Manchester Uniteds point against Newcastle will actually bring them close to the league leaders.]]>
